1871 25C MS64 PCGS. The mintage was low to begin with, and many were likely melted in the 1873 silver melt. This piece is well struck, like many survivors of the issue, and stars 10-11 on the obverse show recutting. Both sides have slate-gray patina complementing blushes of ice-blue and champagne-pink, more prominent on the reverse, through which considerable luster radiates. Population: 6 in 64, 1 finer (3/08).

Coin Engraver: Christian Gobrecht

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
