1871 $20 MS63 PCGS. Booming luster sweeps this sharply struck better date Type Two twenty. Well struck, and lightly abraded despite a few faint marks at 1 o'clock on the reverse. Only 80,150 pieces were struck, and most of these were eventually melted. The 1871 is actually difficult regardless of grade, although the few XF and lower grade pieces carry only a moderate premium over bullion. In Mint State, the 1871 is a rarity. PCGS has certified 11 pieces in MS60 or higher grades, and NGC has certified only nine such pieces. Presumably, at least a portion of these figures represent resubmissions. Encapsulated in an old green label holder. Population: 2 in 63, 1 finer (11/06).

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
