<B>1870-S $5 --Cleaned--ANACS. AU58 Details.</B></I> The 1870-S is a seldom seen S-mint five with a mintage of only 17,000 pieces. It is rarely found in AU grades and the finest three coins are AU58, with none known in Uncirculated. Even with the cleaning, this coin assumes great importance to collectors of this popular series. Sharply detailed on the obverse, the reverse only shows softness at the usual places on the eagle's plumage.
