<B>1870<50C> Standard Silver Half Dollar, Judd-957, Pollock-1108, R.5, PR64 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: H.W. Bass Jr. Collection. A bust of Liberty faces right and is surrounded by UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. She wears a headband inscribed LIBERTY, and has a large star on her forehead. IN GOD WE TRUST is below on a banner. The reverse features 50/CENTS/1870 within a wreath of cotton and corn. STANDARD is centered above the wreath. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Although the B in LIBERTY is typically weak, the remainder of the details are well struck. Although the coin presents as mostly brilliant, there is some hazy, golden-brown patina that is present at the peripheral areas, particularly on the obverse. Population: 8 in 64, 0 finer (7/06).
