<B>1870 3C Three Cent Silver, Judd-797, Pollock-884, Low R.7, PR65 Cameo PCGS.</B></I> A lovely example, in miniature, of William Barber's Liberty Seated design, combined with the standard reverse for the three-cent silver coinage. Since the obverse die was intended for a half dime, and the two denominations had diameters that differed by about 1.4 millimeters, the reverse has a wide border for the size of the coin. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Exactingly struck with prominently mirrored fields and a few glimpses of golden-gray toning.
