<B>1870 $3 MS62 PCGS.</B></I> The 1870 year is a popular one for the three dollar gold, not only because of the small mintage of the P-mint 1870 but also because of the spillover cachet from the unique 1870-S three dollar coin. This 1870-P (!) boasts lovely, mellow reddish-orange patina on each side, with a premium appearance, somewhat prooflike surfaces, and only a few scattered minuscule abrasions.
