<B>1870 2C PR66 Red NGC.</B></I> Somewhat over 1,000 proof two cent pieces were produced in 1870. NGC and PCGS combined have assigned the full Red color designation to approximately 140 specimens, primarily through the Gem level of preservation. Blazing mint orange exudes from both sides of this wonderful two center, and sharp design elements prevail. A small toning spot is noted on the right-side wreath.
