1870<2C> MS64 Red PCGS. Nearly 20 million two cent pieces were produced in 1870. But mintages declined every year thereafter, and by 1870, only 861,250 pieces were struck. Uncirculated examples are scarce regardless of toning, and full Red pieces are rare. This pumpkin-gold beauty is refreshingly unabraded, and only trivial carbon is detected. Well struck except for the G in GOD. Population: 15 in 64 Red, 12 finer (9/06).
