1870 25C Standard Silver Quarter Dollar, Judd-923, Pollock-1028, High R.7, PR65 Cameo PCGS. The obverse shows Liberty facing right, the hair tied in a loose bun behind the head, with additional flowing curls across the shoulder. The headband is inscribed LIBERTY with a star above the forehead. The reverse is the usual Standard Silver design with the denomination inside a wreath, the date below. Struck in aluminum with a plain edge. Fewer than a half dozen pieces are believed known of this pattern. This is a splendid Gem with bright, brilliant surfaces. The fields are deeply mirrored and the devices are frosted, which yields a stark cameo appearance. A high grade and attractive example of this scarce aluminum pattern.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
