<B>1870 25C Standard Silver Quarter Dollar, Judd-894, Pollock-1001, R.5, PR66 Cameo NGC.</B></I> Standard Silver design with a bust of Liberty facing right on the obverse. Liberty wears a ribbon inscribed LIBERTY, the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is at the periphery, the motto IN GOD WE TRUST is on a scroll below. The reverse depicts the denomination 25 CENTS and the date 1870 within a wreath of corn and cotton. The word STANDARD is at the top. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. The fields are deeply mirrored and there is significant contrast between the fields and devices. The reverse shows a number of obvious die striations and there are also a couple of lint marks that were struck into the planchet at the time of striking.
