1870 25C Quarter Dollar, Judd-882, Pollock-980, High R.7, PR65 Cameo NGC. A regular issue Motto reverse quarter is paired with a William Barber rendition of the seated Liberty. She faces left and holds an olive branch and a Federal shield. A liberty pole passes behind (though apparently through) her arm. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. These patterns were sold as part of complete silver sets, and sets were available in silver, copper, and aluminum with either reeded or plain edges. This is an exceptionally pleasing Gem Cameo example that is mostly untoned with delicate rose patina surrounding the peripheries. The devices stand out in stark contrast to the unfathomable depth of reflectivity in the fields.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
