This scenario certainly does not apply to the 1870, an unheralded issue of 155,150 business strikes that is challenging in any Mint State grade and an extreme rarity at the Select level. Even the ambitious Eagle Collection was only able to locate an MS61. This Condition Census representative exhibits crisp, frosty devices and unbroken satiny luster in the fields that shimmers from side to side. A T-shaped abrasion in the field before Liberty's mouth and a cut on her hair keep this attractive example from unprecedented quality.
