<B>1869-S 50C MS63 NGC.</B></I> The surfaces of this impressive, sharply detailed piece have subdued silver luster with subtle champagne toning and a few specks of darker color. Mintages at San Francisco were significant in relation to those of Philadelphia, and the coins struck on the West coast actually found their way to circulation, or they were exported for their bullion content. Few have survived in Mint State grades.
