Such has been the case, however, with the 1869 Seated Liberty dollar for many decades. This uncommonly well preserved specimen displays chalky design elements set against a glassy mirrored background. A touch of milky patina is only noticed when angled just so. Overall, a captivating proof Seated dollar worthy of the finest type set.
