<B>1869 S$1 PR63 NGC.</B></I> A plentiful mintage of business strike Seated Liberty dollars (most exported and apparently melted) was accompanied by a typical emission of proof coins for the era, 600 pieces. This example offers heavy steel-gray patina with dashes of amber and aqua visible under a strong light. This piece is well struck and shows no mentionable contact marks.
