<B>1869 S$1 MS61 PCGS.</B></I> Well struck, except for the right side stars, with prooflike surfaces that show dark fields and mildly frosted contrasting devices. A minor obverse rim ding at 1 o'clock limits the grade. This issue's mintage of 423,700 business strikes is respectable by Seated dollar standards. Presumably, most of these coins were exported, as Mint State examples are more elusive than proofs.
