<B>1869<50C> Standard Silver Half Dollar, Judd-749, Pollock-832, High R.6, PR64 PCGS.</B></I> Standard Silver half with Liberty facing right on the obverse, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA above, and the motto below. The reverse shows 50 CENTS in the center, surrounded by a wreath of oak and laurel with STANDARD SILVER above and the date below. Struck in silver with a plain edge. This is a richly toned example that shows essentially unmarred surfaces. Smoky-violet and cobalt-blue colors surround the obverse periphery, the reverse is less toned with a mixture of steel-gray shadings. The fields are exceptionally deep in their mirrored reflectivity and the devices are noticeably frosted giving this impressive coin a pronounced contrasting appearance. Fewer than a dozen pieces are believed known of this pattern striking. Population: 4 in 64, 1 finer (7/06).
