<B>1869 $1 PR64 Cameo PCGS.</B></I> More than half of the 600-piece mintage of 1869 proof dollars have been certified by PCGS and NGC, making this issue fairly available to collectors. Far fewer cameoed examples have been graded (roughly 50 pieces). This near-Gem Cameo specimen displays deep aqua-blue, purple, and golden-tan peripheral toning framing champagne-gold centers. Wonderfully preserved surfaces exhibit boldly struck design features. This is a truly nice coin, that appears to be conservatively graded.
