1868-S $5 AU53 PCGS. Sharply struck and nearly fully lustrous with light yellow-gold coloration. Both sides exhibit very light surface marks as expected for the grade. Walter Breen suggested that this issue is an important rarity in grades better than extremely fine, and the PCGS population data supports his viewpoint. It seems that nearly all of the 52,000 coined entered circulation, or they were exported for trade purposes. Population: 2 in 53, 10 finer (1/07).

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
