<B>1868 H10C MS64 Prooflike NGC.</B></I> This semi-key issue was produced to the extent of only 88,600 business strikes, relatively few of which have survived. In this regard, it is noteworthy that NGC and PCGS have certified 110 or so examples in all grades. This particular near-Gem Prooflike specimen that we present acquires enhanced significance when it is realized that it is <I>the</B></I> finest of only four 1868 half dimes given the Prooflike designation by NGC. Sharply impressed, frosted design elements are boldly highlighted by reflective fields. Snow-white surfaces exhibit a few inoffensive obverse handling marks that preclude an even higher grade.
