1868 G$1 MS67 PCGS. The 1868 is a much more challenging issue than its mintage of 10,500 pieces might indicate. Apparently very few examples were set aside in mint condition, the vast majority being used in the channels of commerce just after the Civil War. This is an exceptionally pleasing piece that has smooth orange-golden mint frost that is virtually unscathed by post-striking impairments. Sharply defined throughout, the surfaces have a fine granularity from having been struck from a slightly porous planchet. Population: 4 in 67, 1 finer (9/02). Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
