<B>1868<$5> AU58 PCGS.</B></I> A charming and boldly struck example of this elusive issue. The fields are faintly prooflike on this slightly circulated representative, which is one of only 5,700 pieces struck. The lustrous copper-gold surfaces show light abrasions, none singularly noteworthy, with a hint of rub confined to the open fields and the highpoints on each side. The 1868 is very scarce in XF-AU, and becomes a major rarity at the AU58 level. Certified in a green label holder. Population: 1 in 58, 1 finer (8/06).
