1868 $20 Twenty Dollar, Judd-665, Pollock-740, Low R.7, PR64 Cameo NGC. The obverse and reverse of the regular issue Type Two double eagle, struck in aluminum with a reeded edge. This example is from a complete set of aluminum coinage dated 1868, a single coin that is available from a broken set, similar to the cased set also offered in this sale. The surfaces are fully mirrored and the devices are sharply detailed. Some minor lamination is evident on the obverse, and while this is a result of striking, it is also probably the reason that this example was not certified at the Gem level.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
