<B>1868 1C MS64 Red PCGS.</B></I> While the 1868 has a high business strike mintage (more than 10 million pieces), finding a quality example is difficult, as many suffer from poor strikes (Richard Snow, 2006). This near-Gem Red specimen displays pretty copper-gold color imbued with wisps of lilac, along with well struck design elements; all four diamonds are bold, and most of the feather tips are strong. A few light obverse flecks do not disturb. A truly exceptional 1868 cent!
