<B>1867-S $2 1/2 MS61 NGC.</B></I> Bright luster dominates the devices and legends. The striking details are sharp in all areas except on LIBERTY and the eagle's left leg, as seen on almost all S-mint quarter eagles from this era. A few wispy marks reside on the cheekbone and upper lip, but the surfaces are generally clean for an MS61 gold coin. Moderate clash marks outline the devices. Only 28,000 pieces were struck.
