1867 5C Five Cents, Judd-561, Pollock-6
1867<5C> Five Cents, Judd-561, Pollock-622, R.5, PR63 Cameo PCGS. Longacre's design that shows Liberty facing left with four feathers and four stars in the headdress, the date below, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA above, and his full surname engraved in small letters beneath the portrait. The reverse has a large, ornate shield with a large Roman numeral V over it, the motto above. Liberty's profile greatly resembles Longacre's contemporary Indian cent, gold dollar, and three dollar portraits. Struck in aluminum with a plain edge. Although nearly spot-free, this specimen exhibits a hint of scuffiness in the fields beneath a thin veil of milky patina.
