1867 3CS MS62 NGC. Intermingled gold, lilac, and blue 1867[3CS] MS62 NGC.
1867<3CS> MS62 NGC. Intermingled gold, lilac, and blue iridescence. Wisps of charcoal-gray toning can be seen at the borders. The devices are frosty and the fields are lightly reflective. Most design features are sharply defined. The 1867 has one of the lowest mintages in the silver three cent series, just 4,625 pieces, a figure which consists of 4,000 business strikes together with 625 proofs. Although the mintage figure for business strikes was greater than for proofs, most of the proofs were saved, while the majority of business strikes would have ended up being spent and subsequently redeemed and melted; accordingly, Uncirculated business strikes often command bids substantially higher than can be obtained for proofs of a corresponding grade. Envelope Included.
