1867 $1 Dollar, Judd-593, Pollock-657, High R.7, PR64 PCGS. The obverse and reverse are struck from the regular issue dies for the Seated dollar for 1867. Struck in brass with a reeded edge. Most likely struck for sale to collectors as part of complete copper sets for the year. According to USPatterns.com, about five examples are known in brass. This piece is fully defined and both sides display bright, brassy-golden color with a slight accent of lilac interspersed. The fields are deeply mirrored and flash forcefully through the light color on each side. A few light flecks of carbon are scattered over both the obverse and reverse, which explain the PR64 grade. Our records indicate that there have only been six appearances at public auction since 1992.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
