<B>1866-S 25C XF40 PCGS.</B></I> 1866-S quarters, sporting a mintage of 28,000 pieces, are scarce in all grades. Indeed, PCGS and NGC have graded about 45 coins from Good through Uncirculated. The silver-gray surfaces of this XF40 specimen show traces of light tan at the margins, and are devoid of significant marks. Relatively strong detail is noted on the design elements.
