1866-S $20 No Motto XF45 PCGS. Small mintmark. This piece has the look of an old gold watch, with moderately deep, original toning. Not especially well struck, but the striking deficiency is slight. The rims are clean with some noticeable marks and scuffs, mostly in the fields. A long vertical scuff is located just in front of Liberty's throat. A long, old scratch appears in the top right reverse field through the rays. Nevertheless, this is a desirable coin, the last of the No Motto type and the only one bearing this date, as all were struck at San Francisco. Garrett and Guth estimate that only some 200 are known, most heavily marked and well worn. Here's a chance to own one of the rarest of its kind, from the end of an era.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
