<B>1866 1C MS65 Red PCGS.</B></I> As other denominations returned to circulation, demand for bronze cents dropped, and the mintage of 1866, of slightly over 9.8 million pieces, was a low for the alloy up to that point. The obverse of this well struck Gem has light yellow-orange color with a trace of emerald, while the reverse has richer sunset-orange surfaces with a touch of pink.
