1865-S<$20> MS64 PCGS. Brother Jonathan 570. This satiny representative displays rich mustard-gold toning, and glimpses of rose-lilac patina are noted near the mintmark and the eagle's head. The fields are unusually smooth, even for the often high grade survivors of this famed Pacific coast shipwreck. The obverse stars show slight incompleteness of strike.
From The Hamburg-Sonoma Collection.
