<B>1865 Lincoln Broadside.</B></I> This broadside was printed after the death of President Lincoln to commemorate certain areas of interest in Illinois. It was commissioned by the Sangamo Insurance Company to promote their presentation of the late President's home, tomb, and early life. The President's death prompted a national outpouring of interest in Mr. Lincoln's life and childhood. Illinois was quick to cash in on the landmarks and notable places in Lincoln's past. This broadside features one such attempt at advertising these places!
