<B>1864-S 10C MS63 NGC.</B></I> Though the 1864-S has a much higher mintage than its Philadelphia counterpart (230,000 pieces versus 11,000 examples), in Select and finer grades, the two issues are of comparable rarity. The soft gold toning that covers much of the frosty obverse appears as a splash on the reverse.
