1864 Andrew Johnson Campaign Broadside.
1864 Andrew Johnson "Who Shall Be Vice-President?" Broadside. This campaign broadside outlined the political views of George H. Pendleton of Ohio and Andrew Johnson of Tennessee. It reads in part: "Who shall be Vice-President? Shall he be a loyal or a disloyal man? Past experience shows that the choice of Vice-President of the United States is almost as important as that of President. In case the latter dies or becomes unable to perform the duties of his office, they devolve upon the former. In 1840 General Harrison was elected President and John Tyler Vice-President. Within two months after the Inauguration General Harrison died and John Tyler became President of the United States, and completely reversed the policy he had been choosen to carry out..."

The broadside is in fine condition; usual folds are present; moderate separation occuring along main horizontal fold and main vertical fold; minor edge wear; light overall toning but still fully legible and crisp. A nice display item for the 1864 election, a collector favorite.
