<B>1864 50C PR65 NGC.</B></I> A lovely Gem proof with lilac, sea-green, and gold toning intermingled across both sides. An important low-mintage piece from the Civil War era. Coin collectors preferred proof examples, and there is little doubt that this piece was originally acquired at that time by an active collector.
