<B>1864 3CS MS67 Prooflike NGC.</B></I> This piece is totally reflective and at first glance appears to be a proof, but the obverse die shows strong clash marks, which should not be the case if this were actually a proof. Of course, this is a rare date with a total mintage of 12,000 pieces, and it is likely that the dies had scarcely lost their polish when the business strikes were coined. Toned with deep peripheral gold on the obverse. The reverse is dark blue with a vibrant orange-gold center. A sparkling jewel with pristine surfaces.
