<B>1864 2C Large Motto PR66 Red and Brown PCGS.</B></I> Proof production was minimal for the two cent piece in its first year of issue. Only a handful of Small Motto proofs are known, and most estimates place the number of Large Motto proofs produced at just over 100 pieces. This Premium Gem is exquisitely preserved overall, and each side exhibits crisp detail. The warm pumpkin-orange of the obverse contrasts with the deeper amber-brown color that defines the obverse.
