<B>1864 1C L On Ribbon MS67 Brown NGC.</B></I> The 1864-L was not saved in large numbers and, consequently, is not generally found in high grades, most likely because the addition of Longacre's initial was not readily discernible to the general public. This piece, however, is a splendid example with undisturbed, glossy brown surfaces. Unlike many of the high grade survivors known, this piece displays full detail and minute flecks of ruby and sapphire color in the fields. Strong clash marks are noted on the obverse, but little evidence of clashing is noted on the reverse.
