<B>1864 1C Copper-Nickel PR65 PCGS.</B></I> This issue, the lowest-mintage copper-nickel Indian Head proof cent, also has the highest mintage for any of the three varieties of proof cents for the year. This well-preserved example offers pleasing copper-orange color and minimal carbon. The solidly struck devices offer subtle contrast with the fields, though this does not appear as a cameo effect.
