1863 H10C MS67 PCGS. After the suspension of specie payments, there was little reason for the Treasury to strike silver coins. They had little chance of circulating, since even the copper-nickel cents were hoarded. Only 18,000 1863 half dimes were struck, perhaps solely to prevent the 460 proofs from becoming instant rarities. This lustrous and nearly brilliant Civil War Superb Gem is well struck save for the usual upper left portion of the wreath, and is pristine aside from minor grazes on the upper left obverse field. Population: 17 in 67, 3 finer (10/06).

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
