These papers make a nice bookend to the events leading up to and immediately after the famous battle at Gettysburg fought July 1 through 3, 1863. Leading off on June 30, 1863 is an article entitled “The Invasion of Pennsylvania” which sets the stage for the events to come. The July editions give great accounts of the aftermath of the main battle.
