<Our item number 140921><B>1863 Civil War Broadside For A Battle Re-enactment.</B> C. 1863, &#34;Grand Military Spectacle - Victory on Victory,&#34; Advertising a Re-enactment of 3 Battles at the Continental Theater, n.d &#40;c. 1863&#41;. The re-enactments were &#34;McClellan&#39;s Triumphs in Maryland, Grant&#39;s Triumphs in Mississippi, Meade&#39;s Triumphs in Pennsylvania.&#34; held at the Continental Theatre on Walnut Street above 8th. Though undated, &#34;Meade&#39;s Triumph in Pennsylvania&#34; refers to the Battle of Gettysburg in early July 1863. An old pencil notation, &#34;8/63&#34; may indicate that the re-enactments were staged during August 1863. Traces of original posting in the corners, one of which has a small hole.
