<B>1863 50C Half Dollar, Judd-339, Pollock-411, R.6, PR64 Red and Brown PCGS.</B></I> The obverse is the regular issue design for the 1863 Seated Liberty half dollar. The reverse is similar to the regular issue design with the motto GOD OUR TRUST set on a ribbon in the field above the eagle. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Another precursor pattern that anticipated the addition of the motto on half dollars in 1866. Sharply struck throughout, the original orange-red surfaces have taken on a slight overlay of lilac in the fields of the obverse.
