<B>1863 1C PR63 ANACS.</B></I> A mintage of 460 proof cents were reported in 1863. The parallel vertical die lines in front of the eye and the tiny lump below I in LIB on the edge of the ribbon confirm the proof status of this Select example (per Richard Snow's <I>Flying Eagle and Indian Cent Attribution Guide</B></I>, 2nd Edition, Volume 2, 1859-1869). All design elements are sharp, and golden-tan surfaces display good field-motif contrast, especially on the reverse.
