1863 1C Indian Cent, Judd-299, Pollock-359, R.3, PR65 Red and Brown NGC. The regular issue designs for the 1863 Indian cent. Struck in bronze with a plain edge. While one of the more common patterns, the Judd-299 is a significant one as it is the Mint's first experiment with bronze. This piece is typical as it is medallically aligned and very few pieces show any traces of the original red color. The surfaces have deep, streaky brown patina with significant underlying mint red still in evidence when placed beneath a light. A spot is noted beneath the E in AMERICA.
From The Jones Beach Collection.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
