<B>1862 H10C MS67 PCGS.</B></I> The 1862 half dime, with a 1.4 million-plus mintage, is a common date in the Liberty Seated series. Several hundred pieces have been certified by PCGS and NGC through the MS65 level, where the population figures take a significant drop. The Superb Gem in the current lot displays medium intensity multicolored toning adhering to fully lustrous surfaces. The design elements are sharply and evenly struck, further enhancing the coin's fantastic eye appeal. Believe it or not, this example might have attained the MS68 grade designation were it not for a few tiny, inoffensive marks in the left obverse field.
