1862 Fair Oaks Naglee's Brigade Ford Medal AU55 NGC. Brigadier General Henry Morris Naglee commanded a brigade in the Army of the Potomac during the Peninsular Campaign. On May 31, 1862 he was wounded in the Battle of Fair Oaks (also known as Seven Pines) which took place near the town of Richmond, Virginia. Naglee also had an interesting post-war life being named in a lawsuit brought against him by his nanny, claiming seduction, and having his wartime love letters published in a book by a former "lady friend." This medal is of brass, 1" in diameter and graded by NGC as AU55. Holed at the top for suspension. The reverse lists the units making up the brigade: 52nd PA, 104th PA, 11th ME, 81st NY, 98th NY, 100th NY.
