<B>1862 $3 MS62 PCGS.</B></I> A Civil War date with a mintage of a mere 5,750 pieces. Later dates in the series have an even lower productions, but they also have higher survival rates. Unlike the 1888, for example, the 1862 is rare in Mint State, with most examples in XF and AU grades. The present canary-gold piece is smooth aside from a minor mark beneath the R in DOLLARS.
