1862 $1 --Cleaned--ANACS. XF40 Details. Silver dollars were hoarded by 1862, but the mintage of 11,540 pieces was still uncommonly low for a Philadelphia issue. Few were saved, since the nation had greater concerns during the Civil War. Lustrous for an XF, but slightly glossy and typically abraded. The left obverse border has forest-green toning.

Coin Engraver: Christian Gobrecht

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
